Why This Role Matters:
This role will join the Business Solutions Partner team who manage the relationships between Group 1001's central IT organization and all Group 1001 business units. The intern will work in support of all members of the team on both day-to-day and project-based initiatives. Day-to-day activities include various meetings and communications with business partners and other IT teams related to business objectives and the technical solutions required to meet those business plans, escalations of issues being experienced by the business unit, and/or proactively communicating and assisting with the implementation of company-wide technical solutions impacting the business. Planned project initiatives for 2026 include formalization of a metrics program tracking all activities related to managing the business relationships, and a second project focused on establishing a formal relationship health/maturity assessment and rating. The internship will run from May 18 to August 7, 2026.
How You'll Contribute: Collaborating with Business Solutions Partners, the Technology Governance team and other IT groups to design and build formal metrics reporting solutions for Business Solutions activities utilizing internal tools and platforms (including JIRA, ServiceNow and other technologies)
Working with the Business Solutions Partners team to implement a formal relationship health and maturity assessment Designing and building survey content and delivery/collection methods for the assessment
Collecting, analyzing and reporting on survey findings
Participating in internal IT meetings to review findings and determine follow-up activities
Accompanying Business Solutions Partners to meetings with Business Units to review and discuss results
Assisting with requirements gathering, documentation and presentation preparation in response to business unit requests for technical solutions
Performing other departmental tasks as required
What We're Looking For:
Undergraduate students completing their sophomore or junior year preferred pursuing Business Administration, Finance, Communications or Information Technology Majors.
Availability to work full-time hours over the summer.
Familiarity with Insurance industry is ideal
Ability to clearly articulate complex information to others.
Detail oriented with strong focus on quality of deliverables.
Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and solve problems and issues of all types.
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Ownership and accountability for deliverables.
Ability to work independently and with a team.
Strong written and communication skills.
