Description Job Overview: As a Lead Server, you will be assisting the Food and Beverage Manager in the organization and supervision of service in the Restaurant and Room Service areas. Responsible for opening and closing procedures, table service, food prep, cleaning, cash handling and inventory, checking for proper identification, handling employee issues, handling customer complaints and disturbances, scheduling employees, ordering supplies and overseeing the workings of the restaurant area. Your Responsibilities: Prepare restaurant for lunch / dining by setting decorations, condiments, napkins and utensils Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies Must be able to explain the chef's specialties; identify appropriate wines; answer food preparation questions Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items, etc. Transmit orders to bar and kitchen by recording resident choices; identifying Resident special dietary needs and special requests Serve orders by picking up and delivering patrons' choices from bar and kitchen; deliver accompaniments and condiments from service bars Respond to additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs; observing dining process Maintain table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needs Properly open and pour wine at the tableside Obtain revenues by totaling charges; issuing bill; accepting payment; returning credit card and signature slip to Resident Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Additional Duties: ●Practice and adhere to FirstService Residential Global Service Standards. Conduct business at all times with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct. Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules. Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional material and supplies. May participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines. Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing the work. Follow all policies and Standard Operating Procedures as instructed by Management. Perform any range of special projects, tasks and other related duties as assigned. Skills & Qualifications: Must be available to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, weekends and holiday Superior customer service skills / guest service focused Positive attitude and friendly personality is essential Ability to represent the restaurant with a professional image Excellent communication skills, both in person, through emails and over the phone Excellent time management skills and multitasking ability Progressive people management skills Physical Requirements: ●Must be able to stand, sit and walk. ●The incumbent must be able to work extended and flexible hours and weekends as needed. ●Physical demands include ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
