What is the role?
The Marketing Technology Architect is responsible for owning, integrating, and optimizing Westerra's end-to-end marketing technology ecosystem to drive member growth, acquisition, personalization, and measurement. This role serves as the strategic and technical backbone of the Marketing organization, ensuring platforms, data, attribution, and digital channels work together seamlessly to deliver measurable business outcomes. This role requires a recognized master-level expertise in marketing technology, typically obtained through advanced education and extensive professional experience.
What will be expected of me?
Own and manage the full marketing technology stack, including Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Email, Mobile Studio, Journeys, Personalization), Extole, GA4, iDemensions marketing attribution, conversion and analytics platform, and digital advertising integrations. Serve as the primary technical and strategic owner for how marketing platforms connect, share data, and support acquisition, referral, and personalization strategies. Evolve Westerra's Extole partnership to support conquesting offers, referral programs, and member growth initiatives. Advance Salesforce Marketing Cloud beyond execution into journey optimization, personalization, testing, and lifecycle strategy. Partner with Digital Advertising teams to ensure clean tracking, attribution, and measurement across paid and owned channels. Build and maintain end-to-end attribution frameworks connecting conversation tracking, digital hooks, iDimensions, and GA4. Translate business objectives into scalable marketing technology solutions and platform enhancements. Leverage AI and automation tools to improve efficiency, personalization, optimization, and performance insights. Establish reporting frameworks, dashboards, and performance insights that tie marketing activity to business outcomes. Collaborate with IT, BI, and CRM teams to ensure data integrity, compliance, and system scalability. Manage vendor relationships and external partners supporting marketing technology and analytics. Document system architecture, integrations, governance standards, and operating procedures. Stay current on marketing technology trends, platform enhancements, and best practices and recommend roadmap improvements. Support risk mitigation by reducing single points of failure across systems and knowledge Other duties as assigned Will I have Direct Reports?

10+ years of experience in marketing technology, marketing operations, or digital marketing systems Demonstrated experience owning and integrating complex marketing technology stacks Strong understanding of CRM, marketing automation, digital advertising, and analytics ecosystems Experience translating business strategy into scalable technical solutions Advanced experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud required Experience with GA4, conversion platforms, and attribution frameworks required SQL experience required Experience leveraging AI for marketing optimization, personalization, or analytics strongly preferred Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications preferred Financial services experience preferred Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrates mastery of the marketing technology discipline with a strong understanding of the broader organization and competitive environment. Exhibits excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to influence executive leadership and present complex concepts clearly. Accountable for developing, implementing, and evolving complex processes, standards, and operational plans aligned to business and departmental needs. Applies significant judgment to solve complex business and technical problems, navigating ambiguity with a strong analytical and problem-solving mindset. Maintains an end-to-end ownership mentality for marketing technology, data flow, and performance outcomes. Able to work effectively across functions, partnering with Marketing, IT, BI, and external vendors to drive integrated solutions. Comfortable operating in both strategic planning and hands-on execution modes. Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities. Viewed as a trusted advisor to functional leadership; able to influence others to adopt best practices and negotiate change across teams. Maintains a high level of accountability, confidentiality, and adherence to data governance and compliance standards. What is the work environment like, and are there physical requirements for this role?
Hybrid:
Typically, a dispersed, flexible team environment both on Westerra campus (2x/week) and remote. Employees must reside in Colorado or be willing to relocate prior to starting employment. Residency is required for payroll and state tax purposes. Office environment Works primarily at a desk Travel Requirements:
limited travel may be required throughout the year Salary : in addition to the starting annual range of $120,000 - $140,000, this role is also eligible for Westerra's self-funding reward plan. This plan pays out a cash incentive annually if Westerra hits specific criteria tied to financial goals and this role has a direct impact on the outcome of those results!
