We are seeking a dynamic, experienced self-starter to help expand our education initiatives. The ideal candidate will cultivate relationships with education leaders and understand the challenges faced by state and local education agencies. Success in this role will be measured by the business growth and revenue generated from new opportunities.
The Senior Consultant will oversee complex projects, produce high-level deliverables, recruit and develop staff, and work autonomously with minimal supervision. This role requires serving as an internal consultant, playing a vital part in proposals and sales presentations, and presenting at various conferences.
The candidate will adopt a client-centric approach, applying consultative skills to navigate and resolve the complex issues confronting state and local education agencies. Responsibilities include devising and executing strategies that broaden PCG's reach and impact throughout Washington State and the Pacific Northwest. The consultant will offer local leadership and expertise to support state education agency and school district clients, particularly in areas like special education, Medicaid reimbursement, and data management. While the role is remote, candidates must reside in Washington State, have a robust reputation within the area, and be prepared to travel for client engagements as necessary.
Duties and Responsibilities
Act as a project manager and subject matter expert, managing complex projects, staff, and tasks while ensuring compliance with federal requirements. Design and implement growth strategies, actively identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities. Provide expertise in navigating complex federal regulations, analyzing laws, and enhancing business operations for efficiency. Create communication plans, gather requirements from stakeholders, and facilitate discussions with clients. Identify gaps and devise effective workarounds. Plan and monitor project tasks consistently. Delegate tasks and responsibilities efficiently to team members. Evaluate best practices, compliance errors, and offer technical assistance to clients. Lead proposal writing efforts and prepare comprehensive reports and materials for clients. Required Skills
Ability to devise and execute business growth strategies, identifying and closing new opportunities, and upselling to existing clients. Proficient in researching, analyzing, and interpreting policies, legal briefs, and regulations. Strong creative problem-solving and consultative mindset. Demonstrated ability to work independently and achieve superior results. Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities for effective relationship building across management levels. Ability to lead and facilitate sales processes for PCG’s products and services. Proven project management capabilities, with the initiative to drive projects forward within set timelines and budgets. Commitment to outstanding client service and a dedication to achieving goals and overcoming challenges. Intellectual curiosity and a passion for lifelong learning about current business issues. Effective in both team environments and working autonomously with limited supervision. Strong analytical, critical thinking, attention to detail, and multitasking skills. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or 10 years of relevant experience required; graduate degree preferred. 5-10 years of pertinent work experience. Experience in information technology, finance/business operations, K-12 education, and special education is highly advantageous. Supervisory Responsibility

Remote - Must be located in the western region of the US, with a preference for WA, OR, and ID. Some travel required. Compensation for this role varies based on numerous factors, including but not limited to location, skill set, and experience level. For this position, the salary range is $88,300 - $140,000.
