
Experienced Personal Lines Account Manager

Location: St. Clair, MI Personal Lines Office
Pay Scale: Based on Exp. $50K - $60K, plus bonuses
Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Personal Lines Account Manager to manage and retain a portfolio of personal insurance clients while delivering exceptional customer service. This role is responsible for servicing accounts from quoting through renewal, advising clients on coverage needs, and supporting agency growth through strong client relationships and retention strategies.
Key Responsibilities Client & Account Management
Manage a book of personal lines accounts including auto, homeowners, renters, umbrella, and specialty lines
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients
Review policies for accuracy and coverage adequacy
Conduct proactive renewal reviews
Policy Servicing
Prepare new business quotes, endorsements, and renewals
Process carrier submissions and bind coverage
Resolve billing, claims, and underwriting issues
Maintain accurate client records
Consultative Sales & Retention
Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities
Educate clients on coverage options
Support retention initiatives
Carrier & Team Collaboration
Maintain strong carrier relationships
Stay current on carrier guidelines
Collaborate with internal teams
Required Qualifications
3+ years of personal lines experience
Active Property & Casualty license
Knowledge of personal lines products
Experience with agency management systems
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years agency experience
CIC, CISR, or similar designation
