Details/Scope of the project: We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Enterprise Architect to lead the strategic consolidation of nine disparate Salesforce instances into a unified enterprise platform. This role requires equal parts technical solution architecture and business architecture, as you will define the reference architecture, drive standardization across autonomous business units, and partner with external delivery teams to execute a multi-year transformation. The architect will be the internal authority who can push back on business demands that deviate from enterprise standards, articulating why standardization delivers equivalent outcomes with reduced complexity.
Team Technical Stack:
Design and own the enterprise Salesforce reference architecture serving as the corporate template for all business units. Develop a phased consolidation roadmap to migrate nine existing instances to a single standardized org Define enterprise templates for Quote-to-Cash, Customer 360, Customer Service, Tech Support, Lead Management, and Customer Setup Establish architecture governance that prevents business units from creating custom solutions when standard templates deliver the same outcome. Determine CPQ strategy across business lines-some have complex configured products, others sell standard equipment Build the technical vision for Marketing Cloud (not currently deployed) and future AI-powered customer service Integration Architecture Architect standard integration patterns between Salesforce and JD Edwards ERP (system of record for customer, price, and product) Eliminate manual re-keying by establishing consistent quote-to-order integration across all business units Design integration framework for product catalog synchronization with engineering systems (SolidWorks) Consolidate customer data feeds from multiple commerce tools into unified Customer 360 view Address the JDE configurator challenge-business units without Salesforce CPQ currently use JDE configurator, complicating integration
Must have skills for this role:
Proven experience leading Salesforce org consolidation or large-scale multi-org migration projects Strong combination of business architecture and technical solution architecture skills-you must be able to understand business processes deeply enough to standardize them Deep expertise in Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and CPQ Integration architecture experience with ERP systems (JD Edwards, SAP, Oracle, or similar) Track record building enterprise reference architectures and governance frameworks from scratch Demonstrated ability to drive standardization across resistant business units-you need political skills and credibility to enforce standards Experience with organizations that grew through acquisition and have significant shadow IT or decentralized technology Change management experience-helping business users accept standardized processes when they prefer custom solutions Comfortable working in agile delivery models with external partners
Pay Transparency:
The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is:
$180k - $200k/ year.
Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience.
