The Associate Director leads a team for an assigned Client program to deliver results and meet program objectives, based on contract specifications, leading a team of Biosimilar Biologic Specialty Representatives, who will have direct (in-person) sales call capabilities. Associate Director is responsible for managing various aspects of their employment (recruiting and hiring, on-the-job training and coaching, administrative, performance management and corrective action, employee development, etc.).
Essential Duties/Responsibilities :
Manage a team of Biologic Specialty Representatives in all areas of their employment
Work closely with the Client team to identify and execute on goals
Communicate team objectives in ways that promote teamwork and create a strong sense of shared goals among team members
Manage team members' training needs
Monitor Representatives' productivity, workload and outputs ensuring that they meet required goals/standards and are following policies and processes
Proactively address issues through corrective action process as they arise, engaging Amplity Compliance and senior leadership as appropriate
Continuously assess Representatives' performance as it pertains to project progress, results and timelines, and create and deliver individual development plans and performance appraisals according to Amplity performance management policies and standards
Create a team-oriented, productive and positive work environment by developing and mentoring team members through individual and team meetings
Monitor employee compliance with all company policies and procedures and engage/work with Amplity Compliance to resolve issues and follow up with disciplinary action when needed
Manage conflict and employee relations on the team, engaging Human Resources when appropriate
Provide administrative oversight -maintain documentation of team members' attendance, approve time off, schedules, expense reports, etc.
Develop and implement business plans aligned to the Client's priorities
Manage team expenses to fit contract requirements
Monitor project status/changes and develop solutions to address arising issues by engaging senior leadership on issues that may impact revenue and/or client expectations
Maintain project files and reports
Assist team with utilization of all technology requirements: CRM use, activity reports, sales reports and other reports as needed

Key Working relationships :
Report to Amplity National Sales Director
Manage a team of Representatives assigned to the program
Frequently and effectively collaborate with Client's Customer Team Leader
Maintain a positive working relationship with customers and client contacts
Education and Experience:
Required:
Bachelor's degree
A minimum of 2+ years of sales management experience in pharmaceuticals
A minimum of 3+ years of medical device, or pharmaceutical sales experience
Travel average ~30-50% nationally
Preferred:
Experience with buy and bill model and/or business to business discussions
Complex account and territory management experience
Knowledge of biosimilars
Experience and understanding of hospital and clinic contracting, account management, and/or account-based selling

Successful completion of client training is required in order to proceed to lead the team within the parameters of the program

Credentialing Requirements:
As a representative of a pharmaceutical company, you may be required to submit and maintain credentials, such as training, vaccinations, and other job-related documentation to gain access to hospitals or healthcare providers. It is the Company's expectation that you comply with the requirements outlined by the facilities on your call plans.
Additionally, certain geographic jurisdictions or hospital systems have requirements to apply for and obtain a representative license. At this time, representatives working in the District of Columbia, City of Chicago, State of Nevada, State of Oregon, or those associated with Jackson Memorial Health in Miami-Dade County Florida may be required to obtain specific licenses. This list may be subject to change, including the potential for additions or modifications. In the event of any significant changes, you will be notified accordingly.
