OUTLINE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the architecture, ongoing management, configuration, and layout of HCI infrastructure. Perform necessary Backup and HCI infrastructure design and maintenance in accordance with Dell and EMC and customer's change management policies. Provides analysis of VMware, Azure, Networker Environment and recommendation of Best Practices for Compute, Storage, Backup, Recovery, and Archiving. Responsible for Capacity Planning and Disaster Recovery Planning and design as applicable. Expert level architecture design of the VxRails and vSAN environments. Recommend changes to procedures which result in operational optimization. Participate in Root Cause Analysis reviews when applicable. Produce documentation for procedures for the compute environment. Integrating enterprise backup applications with applications: Oracle, MS SQL Server, MS Exchange, etc. Managing large BRS deployments (i.e. deploying agents across an enterprise server environment, automating backups, generating usage reports, etc.) VxRails, VCF, SDDC and NSX tuning and performance measurement/reporting. MANDATORY MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate must have minimally achieved the following level of experience:
7+ years of experience in planning, designing and installation of storage, and backup solutions, with EMC, Networker, Pure Storage, Rubrik or VEEAM technologies. 7+ years of experience in support, troubleshooting, virtual infrastructure, VMware technologies. 7+ years of experience in developing disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity plans. 7+ years of experience in installing and configuring converged and HCI compute environments and technologies. 7+ years of experience in supporting VMware virtual environments. 7+ years of experience in automating jobs via scripting languages for storage arrays, and/or virtual environments 7+ years of experience in optimization and troubleshooting of enterprise-level storage technologies. 7+ years of experience in hands on experience on performance tuning and load balancing. VMware Certified Professional or EMC Cloud Certification Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant industry/project experience. PREFERABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in computer science or relevant industry/project experience. Prior education industry/project experience. Must be a self-starter and be able to work well independently and in a team setting. Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate in a credible and confident manner at all levels in the organization, especially on technical issues to a non-technical audience. Detailed and process oriented.
