Job Description Join our high-performing Revenue Recognition Technical Program Office at Oracle, where you'll collaborate with experts to drive strategic customer transactions that maximize revenue and minimize risk. Our team focuses on strategic contract reviews, technical accounting assessments, and keeping pace with evolving regulatory changes. Your role is crucial in ensuring that our revenue recognition practices meet U.S. GAAP compliance, primarily in line with ASC 606 and ASC 842, while aligning with Oracle's policies in Finance and Accounting. Revenue Recognition Mission We strive for consistency in revenue recognition through stakeholder collaboration, robust training, and ongoing process improvements, all while upholding our commitment as business fiduciaries. Responsibilities Conduct thorough research and document revenue recognition treatments for new Oracle programs and analyze regulatory impacts, utilizing relevant accounting literature and industry insights.

Evaluate and communicate complex accounting issues and their financial implications to executives, external auditors, and cross-functional teams.

Stay informed on developments in GAAP and other regulations impacting revenue recognition.

Work closely with business leaders from transaction inception through to revenue recognition for strategic AI initiatives.

Assist in the maintenance and update of Oracle's Revenue Recognition Policies and technical documentation.

Provide guidance to the global revenue recognition team on complex contract accounting considerations.

Collaborate with senior management and auditors to ensure adherence to policies and effective governance.

Personal Skills Extensive experience in Big 4 accounting or advisory, especially regarding complex accounting issues.

A track record of revenue recognition management within cloud services.

Strong technical accounting expertise, adept at applying standards to complex business scenarios.

Competence in researching, documenting, and presenting technical conclusions to diverse stakeholders.

Excellent communication, persuasion, and influencing skills across all organizational levels.

Effective decision-making and problem-solving capabilities, demonstrating sound judgment.

Leadership skills with a collaborative team-oriented approach.

Exceptional prioritization skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Fluent in English, both written and spoken, is essential.

Qualifications CPA or equivalent with 9+ years of experience in revenue recognition and U.S. GAAP.

In-depth knowledge of ASC 606 applied to complex contracts is required.

Familiarity with ASC 842 is preferred.

A business degree, master’s, or MBA is required.

Significant experience in Big 4 accounting or advisory, emphasizing complex accounting.

Proven revenue recognition management experience in cloud organizations.
