The selected candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and organizing technical documentation, user guides, and training materials for RangeOS software and Gray Space environments. This role also includes supporting the maintenance of Range Builder and Gray Space course content to ensure accuracy, usability, and alignment with evolving system capabilities. Youll work closely with software engineers, system integrators, cyber operators, and instructional designers to deliver high-quality documentation that supports both technical teams and end users./ppResponsibilities/pulliDevelop and maintain technical documentation, including system manuals, user guides, SOPs, and configuration guides for RangeOS and Gray Space./liliAssist in the maintenance and revision of Range Builder and Gray Space course content, ensuring alignment with current software capabilities and training objectives./liliCollaborate with engineering and training teams to gather source material and translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly documentation./liliEnsure documentation complies with DoD standards, security classification guidelines, and version control practices./liliSupport the creation of visual aids, diagrams, and flowcharts to enhance understanding of system workflows and configurations./liliParticipate in Agile development cycles to stay current on system updates and incorporate changes into documentation in real time./liliOrganize and manage documentation repositories, ensuring accessibility and traceability for internal and external stakeholders./liliAssist in preparing materials for training events, fielding activities, and accreditation packages./li/ulpRequired Experience/Qualifications/pulliBachelors degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Information Technology, or a related field./liliIAT Level II certification in accordance with DoDD 8570./liliMinimum of 3+ years of experience in technical writing or documentation development for software systems./liliFamiliarity with cyber range environments, virtualization, and Linux-based systems./liliExperience working with DoD programs, classified environments, or secure networks./liliProficiency in documentation tools such as Microsoft Office, Confluence, JIRA, Adobe Acrobat./liliStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously./liliExcellent written and verbal communication skills./li/ulpPreferred Experience/Qualifications/pulliExperience supporting RangeOS, PCTE, or Gray Space environments./liliFamiliarity with Range Builder or other cyber training content development tools./liliBackground in cybersecurity, modeling simulation, or distributed training environments./liliExperience with Agile development environments and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, GitLab)./liliKnowledge of DoD documentation standards, RMF, and software lifecycle documentation practices./liliCompTIA Security+, CEH, or other relevant certifications./li/ulpSpecial Requirements/Security Clearance/pulliActive Secret clearance required/li/ulpSalary Range/ppBased on the roles, responsibilities, and requirements, the projected pay range for this position is: $110,000 - $140,000. The annual base salary provided is a guideline for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
