divh2Internship Opportunity in Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Control (CMC) Analytical Development/h2pNeurocrine Biosciences, Inc. (NASDAQ: NBIX) is offering the opportunity to gain Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Control (CMC) analytical development experience in the world of biotechnology. Our intern program offers exposure to bioassay development and function characterization on biologics. The CMC analytical development team has a strong reputation in the industry for developing life-changing medicines with high quality, safety, and efficacy profile./ppYour contributions (include, but are not limited to):/pulliSupporting a range of activities, including bioassay development for antibodies and antibody-drug conjugates using techniques such as cell-based potency assays and ELISA/liliAssisting with the design, execution, and analysis of bioassay experiments/liliMammalian cell handling and cell bank preparation/liliInteracting with cross functional areas within the company including research discovery, drug substance development and drug product development/liliCollaborating with a mentor team of cross-functional team members as well as the other interns in the class/liliCompleting a special project and presenting the recommendations to senior management upon completion/li/ulpRequirements:/pulliPursuing a graduate degree with an interest in biotechnology/liliSpecific degree or field required: Hands on experience with mammalian cell culture, binding assay such as ELISA is preferred./liliPrior experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry would be an asset but is not required/liliFamiliarity with biopharmaceutical technologies, physical and life sciences, product development, and regulatory approval processes is desirable/liliGood verbal and written communication skills/liliAbility to think creatively and be a team player/liliOffer flexibility with a willingness to work on multiple projects simultaneously/liliBring to the company a skill set complementary to its technology and development therapeutics/liliInterest in attending various program events, including social gatherings, career development workshops, and more/liliAbility to commit to a 10-week, full-time summer program/liliLab work requirements: Part-time or full-time/li/ulpNeurocrine Biosciences is an EEO/Disability/Vets employer.
