The Assistant Sales Development Manager, Retail Lead, supports the Sales Development Manager in driving client growth through strategic sales planning and hands-on retail execution. This role blends account support, trade planning, analytics, and in-store merchandising to increase market share, volume, and profitability. The Assistant Sales Development Manager, Retail Lead will cover stores in MA, NH, ME, and RI. What You’ll Do
Support client relationships by executing strategies for assortment, pricing, promotion, and merchandising Assist in short- and long-term sales and category plans aligned to customer and company objectives Manage trade funds, ensure accurate postings, and monitor spend against approved plans Analyze category, customer, and market trends using syndicated data and promotional insights Coordinate with Sales, Customer Service, and field teams to ensure flawless execution Conduct regular store visits to ensure strong in-store presence and merchandising standards Set up POS materials, signage, and displays; ensure new items are cut in and selling properly Build strong relationships with Store Management and Retail Associates Communicate field insights, issues, and opportunities in a timely manner What You Bring
Associate or Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience (4 -10 years preferred) Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word) Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel regularly to MA, NH, ME, and RI Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform in-store merchandising tasks Why This Role Matters
