Position Overview

The primary purpose of the Sales Manager position is to develop sustained business relationships with clients and AWG while driving profitable sales volume for the banners. The Sales Manager is responsible for achieving and meeting shipments and retail sales goals while maintaining spending goals based on what MPG clients are trying to achieve according to their joint business plan. Although this is a remote position, the candidate would ideally live in the Kansas City area and be close to AWG Headquarters. Key Responsibilities

Market, advertise, promote, gain new placements and grow sales of client products by collaborating with respective AWG merchants using reasonable commercial efforts to maximize product sales volume Observe all reasonable directions and instructions given by clients and retailer in relation to the prices, terms, conditions, policies, marketing, advertisement, and promotion of the products Collaborate with clients and retailers to develop mutually acceptable annual business plans and trade spending plans for the promotion of product sales Serve as a liaison between AWG and clients to facilitate communication between the parties Perform regularly scheduled business reviews; bringing together the client, MPG and AWG teams to review customer updates and strategies, discuss business results (KPIs), and leverage the best of the collective teams’ insights and knowledge to build the best go-forward customer strategies; cadence to be aligned upon by MPG and AWG Assist team Business Manager Assistant (BMA) on administrative matters if required (including, but not limited to training on new item set-up, promotional contracts, etc.) Assist in line review process and forecasting, including collaboration with retailers, and utilization of the best data, insights, and brand materials to prepare strategy and sales presentations Required Experience And Education

4-year degree and 5+ years’ experience working in CPG/Grocery/Beauty/Retailer environment Proficient in reviewing data insights to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Experience in evaluating the Return on Investment (ROI) of marketing and sales programs to optimize strategies and resource allocation. Working knowledge of Nielsen/IRI data to analyze market trends and make informed business decisions. Ability to align sales strategies with the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of retailers and clients. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for effective data analysis and presentation. Previous AWG experience highly preferred (calling on or working at/with the retailer) Track record of developing and implementing initiatives that positively impact the KPIs of partners. Familiarity with Customer POS Data to enhance sales strategies and optimize product placement. Proficient in managing Profit and Loss (P&L) statements to ensure financial objectives are met. Experience in strategizing and optimizing trade spend to maximize return on investment. Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales goals.
