Responsibilities
Adjudicate complex and high-value life underwriting cases, ensuring compliance with guidelines and expectations
Provide expert judgment and guidance on escalated cases, troubleshooting issues for staff and management
Apply reinsurance expertise to evaluate treaty requirements and collaborate with reinsurance underwriters
Serve as a trusted partner to Distribution and Field leadership, enhancing relationships and case placement
Mentor and guide underwriters on advanced case handling and digital tool utilization
Qualifications
Specialized expertise in individual life underwriting, particularly with complex and high-dollar cases
Proven ability to adopt technology-enabled solutions and leverage automated underwriting platforms
Experience working within reinsurance frameworks and understanding treaty language
Familiarity with quality control programs and applying analytics for continuous improvement
Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with emerging technologies such as Electronic Health Records (EHR), GenAI, and wearable technology
Experience in mentoring and training underwriters in advanced case handling
