
We are working with a fast-growing telecommunications organization seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to join their team in Richardson, TX. This role is ideal for a customer-facing technical expert who thrives in front of stakeholders and enjoys shaping complex optical networking solutions. You will play a critical role in driving revenue by acting as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise and service provider customers.
Responsibilities
Lead technical discussions with customers, translating business requirements into optical network solutions Act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales cycle Design and plan optical networks, including architecture, link budgets, and component selection Provide vendor-neutral recommendations to ensure the best technical fit Partner closely with sales teams to develop technically sound proposals Deliver customer presentations, product demonstrations, and technical workshops Support pricing models, proposals, and statements of work Stay current with emerging optical technologies and industry trends Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in optical networking or sales engineering Strong background supporting or selling OEM optical or networking products Deep understanding of optical fiber principles and optical network design Working knowledge of Layer 2/3 networking such as OSPF, BGP, MPLS, and EVPN Confident communicator with strong presentation and stakeholder management skills
