POSITION SUMMARY:

Lead the design and deployment of the

DuBois Production System , a structured and repeatable model transforming value streams across North America. Your mission: cultivate CI and problem solving as core capabilities, embedding sustainable improvements that deliver measurable operational performance and strategic advantage.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Span multiple manufacturing locations across North America, collaborating with plant leadership, engineering, supply chain, and functional support teams.

Guide CI strategy from front-line site implementation to regional aggregation and scale-up.

Serve as both a tactical Lean/Six Sigma practitioner and a strategic coach to leadership.

CI Strategy & Roadmap

Develop DuBois Production System and supporting Lean and problem-solving pillars.

Lead comprehensive value-stream assessments, current/future state mapping, and strategic CI road-mapping.

Project Execution & Tool Deployment

Drive change management initiatives to build engagement and alignment across teams

Analyze data and performance metrics to identify trends and prioritize improvement opportunities

Define project selection criteria, KPI goals, and change management plans. Establish baseline metrics and ensure each CI project closes the loop with documented results

Drive CI events (e.g. Kaizen, 5S, TPM, Visual Management, Lean Line Design, Flow Oriented Layout) to reduce waste and improve flow

Develop toolbox for Lean and problem-solving applications

Apply Lean/Six Sigma tools (e.g. VSM, KPI trees, RCA) to prioritize opportunities and track progress

Monitor dashboards; communicate performance to site and executive leadership

Lead and manage continuous improvement initiatives across departments to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and optimize processes

Support the development and implementation of standard work, 5S programs, and visual management systems.

Training, Coaching & Culture Building

Developing a culture of continuous improvement, using Lean, Six Sigma, and problem-solving methodologies to reduce waste, increase efficiency, and improve quality, cost, and delivery performance

Coach cross-functional teams from all levels of the organization in CI methodologies and structured problem-solving

Embed routines (e.g. daily stand-ups, visual management reviews, standard work) to sustain and scale improvements

Cross-Functional Project Management

Partner with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, quality, and support functions for holistic optimization by leading strategic projects, overseeing their implementation

Facilitate regular cross-departmental meetings to ensure progress, address risks, and resolve issues

Balance priorities and expectations among departments with competing objectives

Ensure transparency on project goals, timelines, and performance metrics

Key Deliverables & Impact Metrics

Deliver throughput gains from optimized flow, layout, and setups

Improve Right First Time (RFT), On-Time Delivery (OTD), and productivity metrics (cost savings and efficiency gains)

Prepare reports and presentations to communicate project status, benefits, and ROI to stakeholders

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

5+ years in CI or operations roles across manufacturing, with demonstrated Lean/Six Sigma expertise

Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt

Experience leading and delivering CI projects across multiple plant sites

Proficiency in CI and problem-solving tools

Excellent coaching, influencing, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field; advanced degree preferred
