Overview
Metal Building Assembler with 3+ years’ experience with skills that include both erection and sheeting phases of pre-engineered metal building installation. Dedication to safety is priority one. Ability to read erection drawings and manufacturer’s installation manuals. Ability to work as a primary steel connector, secondary steel connector or building sheeter. Responsibilities and Duties
Follow all OSHA 1926 safety guidelines (as a minimum) Follow all Schwob Steel Structures safety guidelines Follow all job specific safety programs as outlined and instructed by the project supervisor or job specific orientation provided by GC Communicating effectively with project superintendent/foreman Assist in Unloading material Assist in Material shakeout and organization Understanding manufacturer’s part numbers Assist in erecting pre-engineered primary and secondary steel Detail primary and secondary steel Assist in installing single skin wall panels Assist in installing insulated metal wall panels Assist in installing standing seam roof with various insulation systems Assist in installing metal deck Participate in safety training programs Participate in quality training programs Must be comfortable working at elevated heights Qualifications and Skills
3+ years’ experience in pre-engineered metal building erection Qualified rigger / signal person (must be able to pass 3rd party certification) OSHA 10 Certified Reach Forklift Operator Certified Aerial Work Platform Operator Ability to read Manufacturer’s Erection Drawings Physical Strength when performing heavy labor that is required from construction workers such as lifting heavy material in excess of 50lbs. Physical stamina in order to handle the long hours of performing strenuous work during the day in hot and cold weather. Salary and Benefits
