
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Mortgage Lender role located in Marquette, MI. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Position is weighted to the lending area, but not limited to. Meet with customers to discuss the best financing for their needs. Responsible for soliciting, originating, analyzing, underwriting, and coordinating the closing of consumer, residential, and small commercial loans as defined by position in compliance with the Bank’s lending policies and procedures. Must be well-versed in policies, procedures, and processes, i.e., applications, credit reports, title work, flood reports, etc. Implements programs. Assists in attaining Bank goals through active participation in officer call programs. Must be able to effectively cross-sell Bank products and generate business to further develop account relationships. Miscellaneous duties include various operational functions, i.e., branch management, compliance, security, and other responsibilities. Must ensure employees comply with all Bank policies and procedures. Effectively serve on internal committees as assigned and external committees as determined. Assist Loan Recovery staff with collection activities as necessary. Assume and accomplish other duties as directed or self-initiated. REQUIREMENTS
Position requires effective decision-making, with good interpersonal skills to work with customers, the community and employees. Must possess full knowledge of Bank lending procedures and policies, products and services, as well as knowledge of computers/programs. A valid driver’s license and the ability to be insured are required if driving. Position requires attendance at meetings. Some travel is expected for this position.
