The Position:
Create detailed mechanical and assembly drawings, BOMs, and part layouts using 2D/3D CAD software (SolidWorks or AutoCAD)
Modify and update machine and line layouts for automated packaging and processing systems based on customer requirements and design changes
Collaborate with project engineers to develop mechanical designs that integrate motors, drives, actuators, and pneumatic components
Process engineering change notices (ECNs) and maintain all associated documentation, ensuring design accuracy and revision control
Design and model minor components, brackets, frames, and assemblies to support new equipment builds and retrofits
Apply GD&T principles and tolerance analysis to ensure manufacturability, fit, and function of parts and assemblies
Maintain drafting standards, templates, and file management within the engineering database to ensure design consistency

2+ years of mechanical design experience using 2D/3D CAD software (SolidWorks or AutoCAD)
Strong understanding of mechanical assemblies, BOM creation, and ECN processes within an OEM or manufacturing environment
