
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced WebSEAL Consultant with deep expertise in IBM Security Access Manager (ISAM) and WebSEAL to provide senior-level technical leadership, advanced troubleshooting, and strategic support within a large enterprise environment. This role serves as the highest level of technical escalation, ensuring secure, stable, and high-performing access management services.
Key Responsibilities: • Technical Leadership & Oversight: Provide expert technical direction and mentorship to L1/L2 support teams, assisting with complex ticket resolution and enhancing overall team skill levels. • L4 Incident Resolution: Serve as the final escalation point for the most complex WebSEAL and access management incidents, ensuring timely resolution aligned with SLAs. • Deep WebSEAL / ISAM Expertise: Administer, configure, troubleshoot, and perform RCA on all aspects of ISAM/WebSEAL environments, including junctions, authentication mechanisms, and policy servers. • Process Improvement & Documentation: Drive continuous improvement, identify automation opportunities, and create comprehensive SOPs and documentation. • Integration & Collaboration: Work closely with architecture, development, security, and infrastructure teams to integrate applications and validate secure configurations. • Monitoring & Reliability: Monitor system performance, identify capacity concerns, and recommend enhancements to improve system stability, scalability, and reliability. • Change & Problem Management: Oversee change, problem, and release management processes for access management systems, coordinating upgrades, patches, and software releases.
Minimum Knowledge & Experience: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience (typically 7+ years). • Extensive hands-on SME-level experience with IBM Security Access Manager (ISAM) / WebSEAL. • Strong knowledge of HTTP/S, load balancers, network troubleshooting, and security principles. • Experience with multi-platform environments including Unix/Linux and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS). • Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • Strong understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management) and Agile methodologies. • Financial services industry experience and familiarity with SOX, SOC1/2 compliance preferred.
