Management Analyst 5 (MA5)

Location

Olympia, WA | Hybrid | The position will be in-person for the initial training period, then remote/hybrid options can be discussed with the supervisor.

Salary

USD 6,414 – 8,628 Monthly

Responsibilities Provide grant technical support and training to ensure expenditures comply.

Develop and prepare fiscal management reports as required for effective cost allocation and budget.

Work collaboratively with Programs, Budget, Accounting, Contracts, and other stakeholders.

Analyze and reconcile financial data that impacts federal disclosure forms.

Review quarterly Office of Financial Management reports to evaluate and monitor federal recoupment and refund data.

Review evaluation and participation surveys to ensure educational programming meets intended outcomes and aligns with conditions and objectives of the grant.

Research and review other state educational and professional development programming.

Respond to all SAO audit data requests via the DCYF Audit Liaison or designee, to ensure sufficient data and/or reports are provided.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Nine (9) years of relevant professional experience with increasing levels of responsibility in accounting, payroll, finance, or closely related field.

OR

A Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, or a related field AND five (5) years of relevant professional experience with increasing levels of responsibility in accounting, payroll, finance, or closely related field.

AND

The ability to take action to learn and grow.

The ability to take action to meet the needs of others.

Preferred Experience:

State and federal policies and laws, i.e., RCW, WAC, CFR.

Performance Base Contracting principals.

Grant and/or program management to include fiscal forecasting and appropriation.

Experience working with policies and their impact to federal funding.
