Position Overview

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking a Director of Accounting Operations for a contract position lasting 3-6 months. This role is based onsite in Chandler, AZ. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and optimizing the accounting function within a fast-paced environment, overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance, and driving process improvements to support accurate and efficient financial reporting.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor the accounting operations team; manage GL, close calendar, AP/AR. Streamline and improve accounting processes and systems. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and support internal/external audits. Partner with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling. Provide financial insights to leadership and support strategic initiatives. Communicate financial performance to stakeholders and maintain strong business partnerships. Qualifications

Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance; CPA preferred. 8+ years of accounting leadership, ideally in a public company or renewable energy industry. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. Proven team leadership, analytical skills, and experience improving operations. Proficiency with financial systems; ERP experience (SAP, Oracle) a plus. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Required Work Hours
