Overview
The United States Space Force (USSF) at Los Angeles Space Force Base, CA is searching for a Financial Management Analyst to support PCF (NH-0501-03, GS-12/13 equivalent). Responsibilities
Provide, plan, organize, and perform financial management functions involving the formulation, justification or execution of budgets, programs or projects. Develop cost estimates, plans, programs and budgets; provide guidance to all levels of management. Ideal Candidate: Familiar with the DoD Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process, serving as budget analyst for an Acquisition Category (ACAT) I program. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field; DoD Financial Management Certification a plus. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band NH-02 (GS-12 equivalent) providing, planning, organizing, and performing financial management functions involving the formulation, justification or execution of budgets, programs or projects; develops cost estimates, plans, programs and budgets; and provides guidance to all levels of management. Effective communicator; skillful organizer; stakeholder focused; successful collaborator; learning agility. Key Skills and Abilities include: knowledge of processes and procedures related to program management and strategic planning; ability to encourage new ideas and innovations; manage resources; work with customers to assess needs; persuasion and negotiation; communication; organization and prioritization; quantitative techniques for models and analysis. Requirements
Must be a U.S Citizen. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Safeguards classified or sensitive budget-related information and/or files. May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis. Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed “Unscheduled Telework”. This position will close after 5 business days or 75 applications, whichever comes first. Employee may be required to perform travel by military or commercial passenger aircraft in the performance of temporary duty assignments. PCS / relocation funding is authorized. This position is designated a NON-CRITICAL APDP position. Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): Approximately 15 days per year. The employee must meet the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements applicable to the duties of the position. Employee must within 30-days of assuming this position and by 31 October annually thereafter, file an OGE-450, “Confidential Financial Disclosure Report.” Organization
