
Sales Operations Manager Rogers Arkansas Biologicals Division

The Sales Operations Manager will be the key liaison between the Growth (field sales, business development, R&D, marketing) functions of the business and the Operations (customer support, shipping, manufacturing, supply chain) functions of the business across the Bio Division. This role oversees nationwide sales operations to achieve company objectives, ensuring alignment with business goals and market demands. The primary responsibility is to manage customer service and work with the technical sales and business development teams to meet company revenue targets.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and manage the Supply Chain and Customer Support teams, providing frequent coaching on customer-facing communications.
Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, suggest improvements, and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts.
Use CRM software, spreadsheets, dashboards, and other tools to track and analyze sales data.
Manage budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation to optimize team performance.
Ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, and compliance requirements.
Perform research to identify new potential customers and market opportunities.
Stay up to date with new product launches and ensure the sales team is well-informed and equipped to promote these products effectively.
Effectively represent Pel-Freez at customer events, industry conferences, and trade shows to build brand awareness and foster client relationships.
Work with Supply Chain Manager to oversee processes to secure favorable terms and prices for raw materials, efficient contract negotiations with suppliers to be in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements, and the management of vendors supplying raw materials to ensure consistent quality, reliability, and compliance.
Update website content as needed and troubleshoot any e-commerce issues.
Sales Strategy & Planning:
Work with Growth functions of business (business development, technical sales, R&D, marketing) to design, implement, and manage national sales strategies to achieve sales goals, targets, and revenue. Analize market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify sales opportunities and set sales targets. Collaborate with marketing, product development, operations, quality, materials management, and leadership to align sales strategies with overall business objectives. Client Relationships Management:
Establish and maintain productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts. Develop strategic relationships with national and regional accounts to understand their business strategies and identify opportunities for profitable growth. Oversee contract negotiations and ensure client satisfaction to drive long-term partnerships. Handle escalated client issues and resolve them effectively. EDUCATION & RELATED EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in sales management, preferably at a national or regional level and in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills. In-depth knowledge of managing a high-performance sales team. Hands-on experience with CRM workflows, marketing automation software and Microsoft Office Suite. Comfort with managing website content. Strong negotiation and customer service skills. Analytical and data-driven problem-solving abilities. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to travel as needed. Experience in contract negotiation and management. Working knowledge of market trends and behaviors. Experience in coordinating sales efforts across different regions. Strong supervisory and leadership skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage a geographically dispersed team. Experience in procurement and vendor management preferred. Understanding of regulatory requirements related to raw materials procurement preferred. Familiarity with the procurement and supply chain management of biological materials such as animal blood serums, plasma, whole blood, and animal tissues preferred.
