Account Executive
to lead sales efforts within our Financial Services department. This individual will own their book of business, driving the full sales cycle—from prospecting and pitching to closing deals and managing post-sale relationships. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with a hunter mentality, strong strategic thinking, and deep expertise in the financial services space. This role requires prior mortgage industry experience, as the Account Executive will work closely with MeridianLink and credit reporting systems as part of the sales and client management process. The successful candidate will be able to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to drive growth, ensure seamless implementation, and support long-term client success. Key Responsibilities
Develop a strong pipeline of leads and servicers requiring real-time credit data access through industry networks, referrals, and strategic prospecting. Build and nurture long-term B2B client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact throughout the sales lifecycle—from initial outreach to contract negotiations and implementation. Own the full sales cycle—from prospecting to post-sale management—driving revenue growth, renewals by exceeding quotas, and provide a seamless onboarding and customer support. Educate clients on the benefits of real-time credit data access in risk management for lending decisions, pre-qualification, and marketing campaigns. Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with CRAs, credit bureaus, and third-party software companies to expand reselling opportunities. Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and regulatory changes to position yourself as a subject matter expert. Identify new market opportunities, sales tactics, and partnerships to drive innovation and expand market reach. Collaborate with internal teams to refine offerings and improve product-market fit. Qualifications
3+ years in the loan mortgage industry, specifically credit bureau experience (required) 2+ years experience with MeridianLink Digital Lending Platform (highly preferred) 5+ years of experience in B2B Sales preferably in the Financial Services industry, specifically Credit Reporting Agency (CRA) experience (highly preferred) Experienced with software such as Hubspot and LinkedIn Navigator Proven track record of lead generation, prospecting, closing deals, and revenue generation. Ability to work autonomously as a self-starter, demonstrating initiative and creativity. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize sales activities.
