You will welcome customers to Lowe's and help them find the right products and services for their home improvement needs. You will interact with customers throughout the day, help them find and select products, occasionally load merchandise, and ensure all customer needs are met. While you will spend most of your time listening to customers, answering questions, and organizing merchandise, daily responsibilities may vary by department. Customer Service Associates work in one of the following departments, based on hiring needs and skillsets: Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Inside Garden, Hardware, Tools, Millwork, Building Materials, Plumbing, Electrical, Paint, Home Décor, Tool Rental, or Pro Services. Welcome customers to Lowe's, answer questions, and deliver friendly and professional customer service. Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise. Down stock merchandise by looking for empty areas on shelves and replenishing supplies. Process orders and deliveries accurately so customers receive merchandise as expected and on time. Cross-functionally train in other areas of the store to help deliver the best customer service. Prepare merchandise in your department based on customer needs (e.g., tint and mix paint, cut and thread pipe, cut and bundle wood, cut drywall, cut blinds). Guide customers through shopping or checkout. Complete other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications 6 Months Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information 6 Months Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction) Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties Minimally lift 25 lbs unassisted or over 25 lbs with or without an accommodation Preferred Qualifications 6 months of Retail and/or customer service experience Bi-lingual skills Certification in trade related to department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials) Benefits and Pay
Pay Range: $17.50 - $18.90 per hour. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. This role does not require regular travel; however, travel may be required occasionally to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores. Environmental factors vary by location. You may work indoors or outdoors in varying climates, including extreme heat or cold, moisture, humidity, wind, or drafts. You may be exposed to constant or intermittent noises and to moving or shaking objects and equipment. Lifting guidelines limit single lifts to 75 pounds; team lifts are used for heavier lifts.
