Title: Estimator
Location: Neenah, WI
Job Summary:
The Estimator will generate quotes for metal fabrication orders, research materials required to complete orders by contacting vendors for pricing and availability of needed material. Once material pricing, availability, labor, and programming requirements are determined a quote is generated and supplied to Sales Department.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Works to quote from information gathered by Operatives during inspections Industries: Government, Construction, Paper, Tissue, Machine Shops, Manufacturing
Understands governing bodies and the codes related to overhead lifting.
Works with Service and Sales Department staff to support customers cranes safety and compliance.
Read electrical and mechanical prints & schematics (Support and training available)
Stay current on existing and emerging product and technologies
Generate quotes that result in profitable sales orders
Reports competitive conditions and feedback from customers to management
Maintains ethical, cooperative manufacturer relationships consistent with company image and company branch goals in the marketplace
Attends product training classes to develop superior product knowledge to handle customer applications
Develops an effective and productive working relationship with inside Sales Staff, Service Department Staff, and Production Staff; participates with all to gain knowledge and provide customers with solutions.
Maintains a professional working image in self and work environment
Performs other duties as instructed or required to successfully complete the job

Must-Haves & Preferred Qualifications
Associates degree in sales or closely related field with three (3) years of relevant sales and industry experience or equivalent combined education and on the job experience, preferred
Computer background to include Microsoft Office (suite), Sage 100 ERP
Commitment to demonstration of high ethical standards governing professional behavior and interactions
Proven proficiency in the use of a personal computer accompanied by a strong aptitude for technical applications
Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
Develop knowledge of the industry within a given market
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats, demonstrated capability to develop strong interpersonal working relationships and work in a team environment
Strong customer service orientation
