POSITION OVERVIEW & RESPONSIBILITIES The Structural Designer - Level I plays a key role in the successful execution of projects, focusing primarily on the production and modification of Revit models and laying a strong foundation for understanding structural design fundamentals. As an entry-level position, the Structural Designer - Level I is responsible for developing skills to produce quality construction documents and coordinate design work with other engineering disciplines. This role will involve working on various aspects of structural design including model generation and modification, structural detailing, redline work and coordination with overall project constraints, while developing essential skills in Revit. The successful candidate is expected to work within a team environment, collaborating effectively with other project team members to achieve project objectives.

Specific responsibilities

will include, but not be limited to, the following:

Produce accurate and consistent construction documents in Revit and AutoCAD, incorporating redlines and applying established drafting standards.

Set up projects using predefined templates and manage drawing organization to support efficient project workflows.

Layout structural components for assigned portions of a project and assist in coordinating detailing with engineering staff and other disciplines.

Conduct limited shop drawing reviews with support and escalate issues appropriately.

Build and refine models of existing structures using available construction documents and field-collected information.

Coordinate with internal teams to ensure alignment of drawings, schedules, and documentation across disciplines.

Engage in on-the-job training to develop skills in QA self-checks, design standards and project execution basics.

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS Required

An AAS Degree in Structural or Architectural Design/Drafting or equivalent work experience.

0-4 years of work experience in structural drafting or related field.

Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis without the need for work sponsorship now or in the future.

Experience in Revit.

Capable of operating with minimal supervision.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with others.

Customer service orientation to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction (internal and external) for services provided.

Represents the company in a professional matter.

Travel: less than 5% domestic travel.

Preferred

Basic understanding of other disciplines such as Electrical, Mechanical, and Process Engineering.

Experience in a consulting and/or construction capacity.

Experience with 3D modeling.

Experience in AutoCAD.

Working Conditions

Compensation:

$28.00 - $36.00 hourly. The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual qualifications, experience, work location, and education. This position is eligible for an annual bonus.
