Apparel Assistant Designer
San Francisco, CA | 100% onsite | Pay: $70.00 - $71.40 per hour
Job Summary The Apparel Assistant Designer supports the Senior Designer with design execution and product development activities across seasonal programs. This hands‑on role is ideal for a detail‑oriented design professional with strong technical capabilities, proficiency in design tools, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast‑paced apparel environment. The Assistant Designer contributes to sketching, tech pack creation, PLM updates, and cross‑functional coordination to support the design lifecycle.
Job Responsibilities
Support the Senior Designer with Illustrator sketching and design updates
Create, update, and maintain tech packs throughout the product lifecycle
Manage and maintain BOMs within PLM systems
Update and organize Miro boards for seasonal development needs
Collaborate with Production, Merchandising, and cross-functional partners as required
Assist with design execution, revisions, documentation, and organizational tasks
Ensure accuracy and consistency across all design files and materials
Job Requirements
Experience in apparel or fashion design support roles
Strong proficiency with Adobe Illustrator
Hands‑on experience with PLM systems, tech packs, and BOMs
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment
Prior experience supporting senior designers preferred (user review recommended)
Education
Relevant design‑related education preferred (user review recommended)
Work Experience
Prior apparel design or product development experience preferred (user review recommended)
