The Commercial Property Management Accounts Payable & Receivable Administrator plays a vital role in supporting the financial operations of ALO Property Group’s commercial real estate portfolio. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, organized professional with experience in both accounts payable and accounts receivable who thrives in a fast-paced property management environment. The role is responsible for ensuring financial accuracy, timely processing, and strong communication with vendors, tenants, and internal teams.
Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
Process accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently in accordance with company policies and industry standards
Review, verify, and code invoices to ensure proper categorization and compliance
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Coordinate with property managers and the accounting team to support smooth financial operations
Maintain organized and detailed accounts payable records and documentation
Prepare, process, and track vendor payments to support effective cash flow management
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
Accounts Receivable
Manage tenant billing and rent collection, ensuring timely and accurate revenue recognition
Maintain tenant accounts and professionally resolve billing questions or discrepancies
Monitor payment activity and follow up on delinquent accounts as needed
Work closely with property managers and leasing teams to ensure lease terms are accurately reflected in billing
Prepare and analyze accounts receivable reports to support financial decision-making
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred (not required)
Prior experience in accounts payable and receivable, preferably within commercial property management or real estate
Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage discrepancies and delinquent accounts
Familiarity with relevant legal and regulatory requirements in property management
