
Purchasing Specialist
LHH Recruitment is partnering with a company in Tempe who is in search of a full time purchasing specialist. This role is Monday-Friday and will provide hybrid flexibility once you are fully trained. The ideal candidate will have purchasing experience, have an understanding of GL codes and researching vendor invoice discrepancy, as well as strong attention to detail. The hourly rate is up to 29/hr. This role is responsible for entering and reviewing purchasing information, ensuring all transactions are accurate, properly coded, and compliant with internal standards.
Key Responsibilities: Enter purchasing information into the procurement and ERP systems with a high degree of accuracy. Review purchase requisitions and purchase orders for correctness and completeness. Ensure accurate GL codes and project numbers are assigned to all purchase transactions. Research and resolve PO discrepancies, including pricing, quantity, billing, and vendor-related issues. Enter inventory, material and labor transfers into accounting system Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Experience in purchasing, procurement, accounting support, or data-entry-heavy roles preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial coding. Familiarity with GL coding, project accounting, or ERP systems is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate discrepancies. Effective communication and customer service skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
