Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Coordinates the schedules and maintains contact with drivers throughout the day for delivery trucks of products such as ready-mix, sand, gravel, soil, asphalt, etc.
Answers telephone, radio, and email to take and input orders from company customers.
Possesses a strong knowledge of available mixes and accurately schedules orders according to the system.
Utilizes company systems to monitor and manage customer expectations.
Maintains strict adherence to company policies, safety/OSHA requirements and procedures.
Possesses a professional attitude while interacting with peers, contractors and general public.
Monitors any sudden route changes or road construction issues and work with drivers to establish new routes for timely deliveries.
May perform other related duties such as input data into computer, ticket timer, shop timecards, create driver schedule work times for following day, if needed.
Requirements
Have a strong understanding of DOT transportation regulations and applicable state laws.
Basic mathematical skills (writing/understanding basic equations).
Basic computer skills with the ability to learn required systems.
Strong knowledge of the roadways throughout the immediate area.
Ability to work in a team environment in high pressure situations.
Ability to communicate, understand, and follow both written and verbal instructions.
Must be willing to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays when necessary. Regular and timely attendance is required.
Must pass pre-employment requirements, drug screen, criminal background check and driving record review.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Must demonstrate a strong commitment to safety.
Qualifications
High School diploma/GED required.
2 years of experience in a high-volume call center or related construction experience preferred.
