Position Summary
The Parts Counter Operator performs a variety of material-related functions and uses computerized shipping/postal systems and inventory control systems. Maintains all related documentation. Essential Functions
Maintains accurate stock records Operates a forklift and motorized pallet jack to move stock, supplies, materials, and equipment Picking, kitting and issuing parts to pump work orders Picking and packing parts orders Shipping duties related to parts and finished products Assembling and testing minor sub-assemblies related to parts orders Monitor metrics as assigned (production measurements) Communicate defects or other problems to supervisor/line lead using data and describe the defect in detail to enable improvement Responsible for meeting customer expectations of quality and on-time delivery Contribute to 6S on the line and uphold best practices Comply with required use of Personal Protective Equipment Perform visual inspections to ensure components are free of defects Maintain accurate records and documentation Plan and perform multiple sequences of operations Ship and load trucks using computerized shipping/postal systems and the ERP system Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Experience
1-year minimum industrial experience Forklift and motorized pallet jack certification preferred Education
High school diploma or equivalent Competencies
Read and understand shipping documents Demonstrate general independent decision making Calculate required metrics Read and understand standard work instructions Maintain tools on the production line Understand and maintain 6S on the primary line and respect it for all other lines Train new employees Perform multiple tasks simultaneously Safety, Physical & Environmental
Office Environment (5%), Production Floor (95%) Ability to lift or move 40 pounds without assistance Benefits & Rewards
The starting compensation for this position is $24.80 per hour. This position may be eligible for a performance-based bonus plan.
