Schedule:

Full-time, A Shift, 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday-Friday

Pay:

$25.50 - $31.50 per hour (final compensation based on experience)

Reports To:

Preproduction Manager

Job Summary The Account Manager is responsible for being the primary and/or secondary customer contact and internal source of information for jobs in progress.

Responsibilities

Thoroughly read and understand customer purchase order information, compare actual job samples or files with PO and estimate if quoted. Inform customers or sales contact of differences.

Translate customer requirements into established Mercury Job language and document job specifications in PrintVis MIS system.

Direct communication with customers.

Keep work area neat and orderly.

Must comply with all plant and departmental safety rules.

Adhere to company attendance standards.

Must be knowledgeable of company’s quality system.

Communicate with outside vendors if needed.

May create estimates and/or quotes.

All other duties as assigned by management related to the job title.

Specific Duties

Customer:

Primary and/or secondary contact for assigned customers. Provide job status reports, proofs, schedules, shipment tracking, mailing audits and transactions. Problem solve file issues, conflicting due dates & manufacturing limitations. Inform customers/sales of any changes in production schedules, job status, and delivery dates. Communicate the Customer’s needs and expectations with regard to jobs in production and future projects.

Production:

Provide accurate and detailed job requirements per documented work instruction standards. Work with production to schedule jobs to meet customer expectations. Perform general planning activities and engage Job Planner for complex applications and purchases.

File Preparation:

Learn and use the Prinergy system following the suggested best practices. Job Setup and Job Reprint retrieval.

Qualifications

Work Experience:

Minimum of 2 years’ print industry customer service experience required. Exposure and introductory knowledge of common graphic art printing applications.

Knowledge/Skills:

Ability to facilitate communication between all parties involved with jobs in progress. Detail oriented, organized, conscientious with professional telephone and electronic communication technique. Clear understanding of a PDF workflow and basic understanding of MAC & PC operating systems and applications pertaining to file preparation. Ability to work in a team environment as well as the drive to work independently and be self‑motivated.

Education:

High school diploma or GED required.

Legal Requirements:

Must be of legal working age and eligible to work in the U.S.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

Works indoors in a temperature‑controlled office and may be exposed to loud sounds, hazardous chemicals, and equipment on the production floor. Must have the ability to bend, lift and carry up to 10 lbs; sit for extended periods; complete tasks; operate computers and/or machines (dexterity, bend, stretch, reach, climb, crouch, etc.); and communicate effectively.
