GFT is seeking a
Senior Civil Designer / Civil 3D Technician
to join our Practice or CBG Team in
Phoenix, AZ ! This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our Phoenix office. Remote work will be considered for the right candidate. Responsibilities
Use Autodesk Civil 3D 2024 and later versions to create working terrain models, including surfaces, alignments, corridors and pipe networks. Prepare conceptual and detailed design drawings for projects using Autodesk tools such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD while following company and client standards, processes, and protocols. Have an interest or experience in Autodesk Revit design software and Esri ArcGIS Mapping Software. Navigate and utilize online project document control system (e.g., ProjectWise, BIM 360, Autodesk Construction Cloud). Prepare detailed design drawings for grading and site development, utility piping, process piping of moderate to advanced complexity, including developing alignments, profiles, cross sections and details. Perform volume/quantity calculations as required for infrastructure projects such as water and wastewater facilities, force mains, storm/sanitary sewer pipelines and water distributions. Working with other subject areas on multi-discipline projects including architectural, structural, and electrical. Working closely with staff engineers and other designers. Maintain project files/documentation including logs, quality control verifications, etc. Meet established budgets and delivery schedules for each assignment; for project/task scope schedule and budget. Participates in QA/QC processes and resolving redlines to meet project deadlines. Maintains Quality control and assurance CADD documents per company or client requirements. 3D visual skills and programming is a plus. Education | Experience
Associate’s degree in civil or mechanical design/drafting program 8-10 years of related experience Project experience with site-civil / water & wastewater / storm water / erosion & sediment control design. Knowledge of construction drawings. Proficient in Design Software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D) Functional experience with MS Office applications. Compensation
The salary range for this role is $75,000 - $95,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location. Benefits
