Overview
Provides mental health and substance use assessments for patients presenting to the emergency department, Intake department or other areas of the hospital; pre-certification of insurance, crisis intervention and referral to community resources. Responsibilities related to intake and patient assessment include conducting mental health and substance use evaluations, coordinating pre-certification of insurance, providing crisis intervention, and referring patients to appropriate community resources, in alignment with Mercy's mission and ethics. Intake Specialist Qualifications
Education: Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a mental health degree is required. Preferred Licensure: LCSW or LPC preferred Key Mercy Benefits
