Overview

Provides mental health and substance use assessments for patients presenting to the emergency department, Intake department or other areas of the hospital; pre-certification of insurance, crisis intervention and referral to community resources. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, Mercy Service Standards and NASW Code of Ethics. Responsibilities

Responsibilities related to intake and patient assessment include conducting mental health and substance use evaluations, coordinating pre-certification of insurance, providing crisis intervention, and referring patients to appropriate community resources, in alignment with Mercy's mission and ethics. Intake Specialist Qualifications

Education: Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a mental health degree is required. Preferred Licensure: LCSW or LPC preferred Key Mercy Benefits
