ROLE OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Regional Director, the Associate Site Head (Associate Director, Business Operations & Strategy) at BioLabs Princeton supports the overall management of occupancy, marketing, partner engagement, site operations, and ecosystem relationships.
This role provides critical sales and strategic support to the Regional Director and contributes to the site's success by:
Driving the site's business development, marketing, and reporting activities. Leading the development and management of partnerships with key regional stakeholders. Supporting events programming, both internal and external. Ensuring efficient day-to-day operations and a white-glove customer experience. Serving as a key member of the regional BioLabs team, helping drive BioLabs' strategic, financial, and growth objectives while fostering collaboration across the BioLabs network. Responsibilities
Support occupancy goals and contribute to developing the site's business pipeline. Foster positive relationships with residents and ensure a high level of satisfaction and engagement. Lead external marketing and leadership efforts. Help cultivate local partnerships with universities, venture capital firms, trade organizations, and other stakeholders in the regional life sciences ecosystem. In partnership with the site's Events Lead, coordinate, host, and execute events, programs, and networking activities that enhance community and visibility. Support the preparation and management of site contracts, proposals, and budgets. Support the Regional Director in overseeing daily site operations and ensuring smooth execution of business and administrative processes. Track and report operational and financial performance metrics to headquarters. Assist in managing team performance, engagement, and professional development in collaboration with Human Resources. Conduct market and competitive analyses to inform pricing strategies and identify new opportunities. Collaborate with the Business Operations & Strategy leadership team to streamline and improve business operations. Perform additional tasks and responsibilities assigned to support evolving business needs. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MS, or PhD in a life science or related field) preferred. Minimum 3 years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, marketing, operations, or related roles in the biotech/life sciences sector. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Familiarity with early-stage company creation, venture investment, or innovation ecosystems preferred. Experience with sales and marketing preferred. Experience supporting program budgets, forecasting, and fiscal management. Highly organized, collaborative, and proactive, with a strong sense of initiative. Strong relationship-building skills and comfort engaging with diverse stakeholders. Ability to work independently while maintaining close coordination with the Regional Director and broader BioLabs network. Willingness to respond to site or lab-related issues outside standard business hours. Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 25 pounds and stand for extended periods. Availability to attend after-hours events. Willingness to travel as required.
