The pay range per hour is $20.50 - $34.85. Pay is based on factors such as labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications. ALL ABOUT ASSETS PROTECTION Assets Protection (AP) teams function to keep our guests, team and brand secure and lead through crisis events. They protect profitable sales by mitigating shortage risks, preventing theft and fraud to ensure product is available for our guest. They build relationships inside and outside of Target including store leaders and public safety officials, inclusive of law enforcement. Role overview

The Assets Protection Team Leader helps develop skills for a career and provides the following capabilities: Leading a security culture, crisis response, safety environment and crowd management planning; providing support to guests and team members Implementing daily/weekly AP workload priorities to support business priorities Responding to external and internal theft incidents and preventing future theft Implementing strategic resolutions of theft and fraud and apprehending individuals per Target policy Partnering, educating and supporting store leaders on operational shortage priorities Leading a team of hourly team members; interviewing, developing, evaluating and retaining talent Typical responsibilities Support total store sales and profitability by ensuring products are in stock and available to guests. Welcome and engage guests at the front of the store and on the salesfloor. Influence and validate physical security and safety processes; participate in store response and emergency crisis situations; create security plans for in-store events. Support leadership in educating teams on emergency preparedness and physical security procedures. Develop, coach and lead team members to elevate skills and expertise. Anticipate staffing needs and support leaders with talent planning and performance management. Identify theft and shortage trends in the store and develop tactics to reduce shortage and drive profitable sales. Work a schedule aligned to guest and business needs (early morning/overnight, evenings, weekends). Develop team schedules and adjust based on security and theft trends with leader validation. Own prevention, budgeting, identification and resolution of external theft incidents. Resolve theft using good judgment and adherence to policy. Initiate, investigate and resolve internal investigations as directed by AP leaders. Educate store leadership on merchandise protection best practices and audit execution. Implement and follow up on operational changes directed by leadership. Support leadership to educate and support store teams on operational shortage priorities. Order merchandise protection devices as needed and manage the budget per Merchandise Protection Best Practice guidelines. Communicate AP priorities to the team, peers and leadership. Build trust and accountability with leaders and the Store Director. Maintain relationships inside and outside Target, including district and store leaders and law enforcement. Ensure our teams and tactics maintain Target’s reputation and collaborate with retail partners to analyze industry trends and enhance security. Evaluate and recommend candidates for open positions and develop a guest-centric team. Support team onboarding and learning; close knowledge and skill gaps through training. Demonstrate ethical conduct and compliance; hold the team accountable to this commitment. Hold team members accountable to expectations; maintain all required training. Serve as first responder for in-store safety incidents and execute Target procedures and best practices. Lead a culture of onboarding and learning; close skill gaps through development and coaching. Demonstrate inclusivity and guide a safe, respectful work environment. Lead and demonstrate a safety culture; model safety behaviors, identify hazards, and work with leaders to resolve incidents; assist with incident response and timely injury reporting. Execute safety program management routines (e.g., Monthly Safety Meetings/Observations). Participate in legal proceedings as necessary to represent Target’s interests. Model the execution of physical security processes to enhance in-store security culture. Support merchandise protection strategies across the total store. Model creating a welcoming guest experience as you and your team complete daily tasks. Engage with guests to meet their needs and thank them for shopping at Target. Address store needs (emergency, regulatory visits, etc.). All other duties based on business needs. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
