Position The Data Entry Clerk works under general supervision and will perform a variety of functions across lines of business including, but not limited to, assisting Sales, Customer Service, Dispatch, Residential, Commercial, and Roll Off. This role uses problem solving skills daily to resolve and maintain accurate records for customers and billing. Hours and level of responsibility may vary by location. The typical schedule referenced is 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
Reviews data for deficiencies or errors, corrects incompatibilities, and checks output.
Log and record information on customer accounts.
Perform data entry in a timely and accurate fashion.
Operate scale equipment to weigh all incoming and outgoing vehicles and determine appropriate charges.
Record customer and load information into a computerized system to ensure proper charges to customer.
Accurately calculate charges for customers based on load weight/size, content, area, etc.
Balance daily receipts to ensure accurate record keeping and appropriate billing.
Accept or reject load based on content to maintain acceptable material standards.
Measuring customers vehicles and/or trailers to accurate type customer ticket.
Run and prepare reports, as necessary.
Maintain all paperwork pertaining to the scales/facility.
Provide administrative support to department leadership.
Work as a back up to answer phones promptly and courteously using company procedures when needed.
Interact with internal and external customers in a professional manner.
Keep information confidential. Comply with company data integrity and security policies.
Perform duties in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
Other duties as assigned.

Experience & Knowledge
1 to 2 years of waste industry (Roll Off, Residential and Commercial lines of business) experience preferred.
1 to 2 years of inside sales, sales support, administrative assistance, or similar experience preferred.
General knowledge of office functions and computer proficiency in Windows and Microsoft applications.
Physical Requirements
Frequently lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 20 lbs.
Continuously working indoors.
Occasionally stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling.
Frequently sitting/standing.
Additional Working Conditions
Ability to work overtime, weekends and/or holidays.
Legally eligible to work in the United States.
Valid driver’s license (if applicable).
Must successfully complete pre-employment testing.
Must be able to read and speak the English language.
