Role Summary
The Clinical Digital Acceleration & Innovation Lead is a strategic partner responsible for shaping the digital transformation roadmap in clinical development, championing the integration of AI and digital solutions, and connecting CSO with broader Sanofi functions. This role requires deep expertise in digital and AI within clinical development, strong program management skills, and the ability to influence diverse stakeholders to accelerate innovation and improve patient impact.
Responsibilities
Shape the digital transformation roadmap by translating vision and priorities into actionable initiatives that accelerate innovation and enhance clinical development outcomes.
Partner with Digital and operational teams to implement AI technologies and identify opportunities for strategic scale-up (CSO 2030 initiative).
Identify innovation opportunities and prototyping initiatives, orchestrating them with BICC & Digital as appropriate.
Contribute to the Initiative Portfolio Management Office (iPMO) framework by:
Develop, communicate, and maintain guidelines to support governance and decision-making.
Coach and support project teams through the iPMO process, business case development and gate reviews, ensuring compliance with standards.
Lead high-impact transformation projects or programs involving Digital and/or AI components, focusing on business value, cost optimization, and KPIs.
Define and communicate implementation strategies and roadmaps; ensure timely delivery of initiatives.
Oversee project performance, manage risks, report to senior leadership, and implement mitigation plans.
Collaborate with R&D University, Vaccines teams, and the CSO Learning Network to upskill in Digital and AI to foster innovation.
Identify skill gaps and define targeted learning strategies to build future-ready capabilities.
Conduct competitive intelligence to track trends relevant to clinical operations.
Co-lead engagement for key tools (e.g., Concierge) and influence product strategy across CSO and Vaccines.
Ensure clear communication of AI and digital initiatives across all levels.
Lead adoption campaigns and change management to support tool uptake.
Collect and prioritize business-driven requirements to shape product features and roadmaps.
Co-lead Digital/AI innovation workshops to foster problem-solving and experimentation.
Develop strategic partnerships beyond CSO to accelerate transformation.
Act as a bridge between technical and business teams, ensuring alignment and mutual understanding.
Ensure Clinical Digital Acceleration and AI visibility through communication and events.
Qualifications
Expertise in Digital and AI technologies and applications with deep understanding of their potential in clinical development.
Strategic thinking and leadership with experience in strategic planning and leading innovation-driven projects.
Ability to balance strategic insights with practical follow-through and accountability.
Strong program management capabilities with experience in agile methodologies.
GenAI advanced prompting; Jira and Canva experience considered a plus.

Demonstrated experience leading AI/digital projects in healthcare/pharma
Program management with measurable business impact
Experience building strategic partnerships across functions
