Senior Intelligence Analyst SME
to join our team. The
Senior Intelligence Analyst SME
will assist the Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency (DCSA) Risk Analysis and Information Development (RAID) with supporting operational elements by providing technical expertise and analysis capability in furtherance of the client's objective.
Compensation & Benefits Estimated Starting Salary Range for
Senior Intelligence Analyst SME : $130,000-$150,000. Pay commensurate with experience.

Senior Intelligence Analyst SME Responsibilities
Serves as a Subject Matter Expert supporting DCSA's Risk Analysis and Information Development (RAID), providing expert analysis on foreign influence, foreign preference, and foreign contact issues impacting national security eligibility determinations. Lead the fusion of multi-source data (HUMINT, SIGINT, OSINT, etc.) to produce information reports and processes on critical threats.
Technical expert must be ubiquitous with program policies, protocols, processes, training, feedback, and all current published relevant program documents.
Leveraging intelligence analysis tradecraft and experience to evaluate complex investigative information, including foreign travel, associations, financial ties, and foreign government or intelligence service connections.
Conducts in-depth analytical reviews of background investigation cases involving elevated foreign nexus risk, identifying indicators, trends, and potential counterintelligence concerns.
Produces high-quality written products and recommendations to support adjudicative and risk-mitigation efforts.
Strategic Advising: Serve as the primary advisor to PM and technical leadership to senior analysts on matters within your area of expertise, foreign nexus methodologies, threat vectors, and analytic best practices. Provide nuanced assessments and actionable recommendations that shape strategic planning and operational execution when applicable.
Integrates classified and unclassified intelligence reporting, open-source intelligence (OSINT), and investigative data to develop comprehensive information reports.
Ensures compliance with federal investigative standards, adjudicative guidelines, and DCSA policies while safeguarding sensitive and classified information.
Supports continuous process improvement by identifying gaps, emerging foreign threat trends, and recommending enhancements to analytic frameworks and training when applicable.
Collaborates with on-site operations leadership to keep they apprised of technical considerations that may affect operations.
Mentorship and Training: Guide and mentor analysts, fostering their professional development and ensuring the highest standards of analytical tradecraft and product quality.
Quality control: Review and validate intelligence products and information reports to ensure accuracy, objectivity, and compliance with all relevant directives and standards.
Education, Skills, and Abilities
Active TS/SCI Clearance
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 12 years of experience in all-source, counterterrorism, or counterintelligence analysis; OR 15 years of experience in all-source, counterterrorism, or counterintelligence analysis.
Extensive experience working with IC agencies and organizations' missions, intelligence products, and database systems.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify and evaluate complex intelligence information.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts and findings clearly and effectively.
Proficiency in utilizing intelligence-related automation, applications, tools, and databases.
Expertise in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access.
Proven experience with quality control, including reviewing and editing analytical products or intelligence reports.
Ability to collaborate and coordinate with various IC agencies and participate in inter-agency working groups.
Leading and motivating teams, including small team leaders, to support career development and problem resolution.
Managing daily technical tasks: Oversee the day-to-day technical feedback from multiple sources.
Quality assurance: Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols in collaboration with on-site teams.
Process improvement: Continuous efforts to increase efficiency of existing processes and procedures to enhance internal capacity.
Essential skills: Leadership, data analysis and interpretation, operational planning, product considerations, quality control, technical forecasting and strategy, problem solving, critical thinking, and communication.
Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
Contract Requirement Applicable intelligence school or degree. (Examples: Army All Source 35F Intelligence School or other service equivalent, any IC member Intelligence school such as DEA Basic Intelligence Research Specialist Training Course.)
