Develops, writes and provides editing support for donor and constituent focused stories and materials to support the FIU Foundation's advancement and development team, including materials proposals, impact reports, solicitation letters, and content for donor-facing publications and digital communications, such as e-newsletters and emails. Provides editorial oversight and edits the work of other writers to ensure clarity, consistency, accuracy, and alignment with University and Foundation messaging, brand, and advancement priorities. Develops, supports and/or implements integrated advancement and constituent engagement communication plans. Supports the content creation and editorial needs related to the production of content in support of fundraising campaigns, donor recognition and reporting, and other stewardship related writing and editorial needs. Edits and proofreads advancement and fundraising-related materials produced by others. Translates complex academic, financial, or technical information including research findings, program outcomes, and campaign data into compelling, donor-friendly narratives for a broad philanthropic audience. Interprets institutional information, publications standards, and advancement policies, and recommends enhancements to effectively manage donor communications, storytelling, and editorial processes. May supervise lower-level staff. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of related experience. Desired Qualifications

Professional experience in proposal writing or related field, preferably in a higher education environment. Experience and proven ability to write and edit clearly, accurately, and concisely. Job Category
