Apparel Designer job at HireTalent - Staffing & Recruiting Firm. Beaverton, OR. 9312-1 – Apparel design. Will work on special project for woman’s performance training apparel. Location: okay with relocation. Please provide an explanation on their relocation plan (family, friends). Responsibilities
Day to day: Working alongside performance designers for Women’s, sketching and working with material pallets, understanding garments, creating tech packs, attending fittings, attending strategy meetings, trend and market research Work: Working on models and sketches What the team is looking for
This person will be working on 1-2 projects per season For 6-month project will most likely see about two seasons Project duration & conversion
Conversion/extension: do not over promise. Role is for 6 months and the team will revisit closer to current end date. Must have / Qualifications
Strong experience with sketching materials, fitting, and creative direction 8 years of experience Strong technical skills with 2D sketches Portfolio
Needs to showcase women’s apparel design (specifically showcasing Yoga, training, field sports, hip movements, high intensity, or bras/leggings) Garment construction and design must be on the portfolio Managers want to understand how they think Tools
AI tools are nice to have; Photoshop and CLO are strong preferences. If they have AI, it would be ideation as some of the sketching will be done through AI. This position is not about creating a beautiful presentation — it’s more about actual designing of products (garments, construction, and building garments and working with materials). Interview
2 rounds of interviews; both will be virtual. 2nd round can be onsite if they are curious to see the site and team. Prepare to speak to breadth of work. Projects they worked on specifically aligned to women’s apparel. Showcasing women’s performance as they are not looking for someone they can train; they need someone who can hit the ground running day one.
