Overview of the Role Slack is where work happens. Our Productivity team builds the tools people use every day to plan, think, meet, and get work done - right inside Slack.

We are looking for a

Lead Product Designer

to help grow and improve Slack's native productivity tools like

Canvas, Lists, Files, Huddles, Email, and Calendar . In this role, you\'ll shape how these tools work together to create

context-powered productivity experiences

- making work feel simpler, faster, and more connected.

You\'ll lead design for one or more key areas, work closely with Product and Engineering partners, and help set direction across the Productivity pillar. This is a hands-on design role with big impact.

Responsibilities

Lead design for complex, high-impact productivity features

Turn fuzzy problems into clear, simple solutions

Partner closely with Product and Engineering to shape strategy and execution

Create flows, prototypes, and high-quality designs using Slack\'s design system

Give clear feedback and raise the bar for craft across the team

Over time, shape the product vision for Slack\'s productivity tools

Connect experiences across tools so they feel seamless

Influence decisions beyond your immediate team

Improve how design works across the pillar

Required Qualifications You must have:

8+ years of experience in product design for desktop or mobile

A strong portfolio showing end-to-end design thinking and craft

Experience leading design on complex or unclear problems

Deep understanding of UX, interaction design, visual design, and motion design

Experience working closely with Product and Engineering partners

Ability to explain your ideas clearly and influence decisions

Experience designing systems that scale to many users

Strong attention to quality, accessibility, and detail

Proven experience using AI in the design process to inform decisions, accelerate iteration, and deliver stronger design outcomes

Preferred Qualifications Nice to have, but not required:

Experience designing productivity, collaboration, or enterprise tools

Familiarity with design systems at scale

Interest in how AI can improve everyday work

At Salesforce, we believe in equitable compensation practices that reflect the dynamic nature of labor markets across various regions. The typical base salary range for this position is $172,500 - $237,200 annually. In select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area, the base salary range for this role is $207,800 - $285,800 annually. The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
