About the Role
Farrynheight is looking for a Social Designer & Editor to be the behind-the-scenes creative engine powering our social media work across multiple clients.
This role sits on the creative team and works hand-in-hand with social strategists, producers, and community managers to turn ideas into high-performing social content. You are part video director, part editor, and part designer: someone who understands how content is conceived, captured, and cut specifically for social platforms.
While you’ll occasionally be on set, your primary superpower is setting social teams up for success before the cameras roll, and then taking raw footage and transforming it into compelling, platform-native social narratives in post.
What You’ll Do Video Direction for Social
Partner with social team to concept social-first content across multiple clients
Build shot lists, storyboards, and video direction with clear social hooks, formats, and platform considerations (TikTok, Reels, Shorts, etc.)
Ensure on-set teams are capturing the right moments, angles, and beats for social success
Own post-production across a wide range of social content: from quick-hit b-roll and sizzles to fully narrative-driven episodic content
Cut large content libraries into compelling, cohesive social stories
Edit video with strong pacing, rhythm, and an instinct for what will stop the scroll
Layer in graphic branding, motion elements, text, and design systems that elevate the content
Design & Branding
Apply and evolve brand identities through social graphics, templates, and motion systems
Ensure all content feels native to platform while remaining on-brand
Collaborate with creative leadership to develop scalable visual systems for social
Team & Process
Act as a creative partner and resource for social teams across clients
Help establish workflows, best practices, and standards for social content production
Be a key contributor in shaping what a social-first creative team looks like at FH
What We’re Looking For
4–6 years of experience in social content, video editing, motion design, or a related creative role
Deep understanding of social platforms, formats, trends, and storytelling styles
Strong editing skills (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut, as well as native tools such as CapCut and Edits)
Solid design instincts with experience layering graphics, typography, and branding into video
Experience creating content from raw footage through final delivery
Ability to think strategically about content before it’s shot—not just in post
Comfortable juggling multiple clients, timelines, and creative needs
A hungry mindset: eager to build, experiment, and grow a new function from the ground up
Bonus Points
Motion graphics or animation skills
Experience building social templates or modular content systems
Passion for internet culture, storytelling, and emerging social trends
