Primary Purpose The Contract Specialist position is responsible for the review, negotiation, and execution of contracts for the company’s largest national and commercial customers across the industrial, construction, special event, and homebuilder segments. These contracts routinely involve complex legal and commercial terms and represent a significant portion of the company’s revenue.
Essential Functions
Review external clients’ contract terms to ensure they align with Company’s risk tolerance, and red-line documents as required to ensure compliance. In addition to examining the performance requirements to internal departments, delivery, estimates of costs to ensure completeness and accuracy of contracts prior to execution.
Review various forms of client documents, subcontracts, purchase orders, master service agreements, change orders, etc. Negotiate with customer in order to reach amicable contractual terms.
Prepare specifications and other exhibits, additional documents in order to complete contract requirements.
Provide overall support in contract administration functions for the coordination and oversight of requirements to ensure compliance with the contract terms and conditions, along with relaying information to internal sales force.
Responsible to input key contractual requirements and data into Contract Management database.
Work closely with Company’s sales force and management team.
Special/other projects as assigned by the department manager and legal department as needed. Manage daily workload, using time appropriately.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients through a customer-oriented mindset.
Qualifications Education
Minimum: 4 Year / bachelor’s degree – Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Experience
Minimum Years: 3 or equivalent combination of education and experience reviewing contacts at a national level.
Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proficient knowledge of legal requirements about relevant contracts and contract law
Understanding of contract law
Strong negotiation and mediation skills
Possess superior attention to detail to spot inconsistencies in contracts
Customer service experience and strong communication skills
Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision making
Excellent planning, organizational, analytical, and decision making skills, negotiation skill
Strong PC proficiency (data entry, Microsoft Office Suite, PDF editor software, Salesforce, etc.)
Physical Requirements
Sit while answering phones or reply to emails
Use hands and fingers to handle, control or feel objects tools or controls
Repeat the same movements when entering data
See details of objects that are less than a few feet away
Speak clearly so listeners can understand
Understand the speech of another person
Focus on one source of sound and ignore others
Hear sounds and recognize the difference between them

Salary Range $66,700.00 – $96,700.00 / year
Pay Transparency Statement At United Site Services, our salary ranges reflect the minimum and maximum base pay for the posted position applicable to all locations across the US. Within the posted salary range, individual pay is determined by the geographic location, job related skills, experience, education, and certifications.
