
Regional Business Manager - GI Rare (SBS) - San Francisco/Sacramento

Role Summary
Regional Business Manager in the San Francisco/Sacramento territory, working on the Gastroenterology Rare Disease Sales Team to drive product demand in targeted physician offices and key clinics and impact patients’ lives. Responsibilities
Clearly understand and implement the marketing plan, accurately articulate the value proposition of the brand, and utilize on-label and approved marketing materials to attain sales/patient objectives. Communicate disease, product, and formulary information truthfully and in compliance with policies and laws. Manage the territory with discretion to maximize sales performance, engaging physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals within the geographic area. Analyze local and regional trends to build long- and short-term goals that drive a successful business plan. Operate in a matrix environment with Patient Services, Specialty Infusion Pharmacies, and Managed Markets while protecting patient information. Create productive internal partnerships to develop compliant selling plans aligned with company and territory goals. Seek clarification from management or Compliance & Legal when uncertain about legal or policy implications. Qualifications
Required: Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) Required: Minimum of 5+ years of pharmaceutical or medical device sales and/or relevant clinical or industry experience Required: Ability to discuss therapeutic strategies to inform and influence decision makers Required: Ability to develop and apply clinical and business expertise and effective selling skills Required: Strong verbal, influencing, presentation and written communication skills Required: Reside within or close proximity to assigned geography Required: Ability to adapt to changing business needs and responsibilities Required: Commitment to ongoing learning and self-improvement Skills
Execution of local marketing strategies Strategic planning to identify opportunities and adapt to changing market conditions Understanding of managed care landscape and its impact on business Strong collaboration and teamwork abilities Experience with specialty injectable sales Experience selling products distributed through specialty infusion pharmacies Experience coordinating with patient services for product delivery Knowledge of Gastroenterology; orphan drug and highly specialized medical sales experience Ability to analyze complex technical data and develop strategic, actionable business plans Education
BA/BS required Additional Requirements
Valid Driver’s License (US) with clean driving record Travel as required by role
