Where you will work This position offers a hybrid work option up to 50% remote and is open to any Compeer office location in Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin.

The contributions you will make This position supports agriculture, rural communities and partner organizations by helping align philanthropic support through the organization's corporate giving program. Builds and maintains relationships that support agriculture and rural communities while assisting with the coordination and delivery of giving initiatives. Works closely with the team and other partners to ensure philanthropic efforts align with organizational focus areas and create meaningful community impact. Helps increase the organization's visibility within the industry and service territory by applying knowledge of agriculture and rural communities to identify and support giving partnerships.

A typical day Relationship Building and Community Engagement

Builds and maintains relationships with agricultural, rural and community-based organizations within and outside of the organization's service territory.

Supports stewardship activities for partners funded through the Giving program and helps assess opportunities where corporate giving can address community needs.

Assists partners in developing and updating funding proposals that align with Compeer Giving priorities and supports presentations to the Giving Board alongside team members.

Coordinates with local leaders and team members to support partnerships, memberships and corporate giving opportunities at the program or project level, ensuring partnership support aligns with giving philosophy and guidelines.

Assists with special initiatives and represents the organization at community, agriculture and industry events as needed.

Corporate Giving Support

Assists in preparing funding recommendations and materials for review by the Giving Board of Trustees.

Implements giving strategies across funding streams and monitors giving activities to ensure alignment with organizational values and guidelines.

Works with team members and partners to collect information for impact reporting and storytelling related to funded initiatives.

Provides support and expertise to on-going development and strategy of giving programming.

Team Collaboration

Works collaboratively with the team to support philanthropic guidelines and processes.

Contributes to the development of proposals, grant programs and other Giving team initiatives.

Promotes awareness of the Giving program and its impact on team members and communities, both internally and outside of the organization.

The skills and experience we prefer you have

Ability to travel up to 30% of the time throughout Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Bachelor's degree in philanthropy, corporate social responsibility, marketing, or business-related fields; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.

Intermediate-level experience in corporate giving, foundation, non-profit or related work.

Thorough awareness and understanding of philanthropy, communications and public relations concepts, principles and practices.

Commitment to ethical decision-making, accuracy and accountability.

Strong ability to analyze data and trends and to showcase outcomes of giving efforts with numbers and statistics.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.

Proficient computer skills, including MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) and other related software programs.

Supports and believes in the organization's vision for agriculture and rural communities.

How we will take care of you Our job titles may span more than one career level (associate, senior, principal, etc.). The actual title and base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role is eligible for variable compensation and other benefits.

Base Pay

$67,700 — $102,200 USD
