ROLE OVERVIEW:
This is a seasonal position, you can use your winters off to travel, hunt, fish or for other activities you enjoy while your
benefits continue year round .
This position is responsible to safely supervise, and coordinate activities of workers engaged in grading and efficiently run the gravel/base operation; produce quality gravel/base in timely manner. Will need to display a professional and courteous attitude with customers and team members.
DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform daily equipment, walk around and site inspections to identify and correct any unsafe conditions and keep equipment properly maintained.
Safely and properly supervise and coordinate activities of workers.
Work with crews, inspectors, and subcontractors to complete projects
Complete quality gravel/base jobs within specifications
Complete necessary paperwork
Mentors and coaches subordinates
Deliver samples to lab
Approve and submit work hours for crew and pertinent job information daily
Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with people under high stress situations. Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others.
Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.). Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors.
Ensure MSHA, OSHA, EPA, DNR, Lockout/Tagout, safety and environmental regulation compliance.
Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (preferred requirements i.e. certifications, software use, etc.)
As a successful Foreman you will have:
Ability to hold and maintain a driver's license in accordance with all state laws
Minimum 5 years experience in product line
Minimum 5 years GPS Trimble experience
Ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime and some Saturdays.
