US Citizens only Notes:
Direct Hire. No third-party assistance is approved for this role. About The Job
At Jaxon, we are on a mission to make AI trustworthy. The adoption of large language models (LLMs) in corporate settings is hindered by the “hallucination problem,” where AI models produce inaccurate or entirely fabricated responses. For regulated industries and high-risk applications, this issue is preventing LLM use altogether. Based on R&D to meet the complex requirements and high-performance demands of the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), Jaxon combines the power of large language models (LLMs) with formal logic, ensuring outputs are accurate, auditable, and compliant for critical data workflows. We are looking for a driven, organized, and task-oriented person to be our new full-time entry to mid-level Business Development Representative. We have established ourselves with DoD, and are in the early stages of launching into commercial markets. We’re looking for someone that wants to jump in alongside the CEO and Director of Defense & Intelligence to help drive the company forward on the federal sales front. You will work closely with other team members to help manage pipelines, respond to federal RFPs, RFIs, etc., run campaigns, and assist with marketing and promotion. The basics of this role require: Responsibilities
Top of Funnel Lead Generation:
Drive pipeline creation through outbound and inbound prospecting across defense and intelligence accounts, generating qualified discovery meetings aligned to priority programs. Lead Qualification:
Qualify leads based on mission fit, stakeholder roles, funding indicators, and acquisition timelines before advancing to sales or capture teams. Capture Management:
Manage Jaxon’s federal capture management by coordinating across teams and contributing to clear, compliant federal-facing response materials. Federal Opportunity Identification:
Identify and surface relevant federal opportunities by monitoring SAM.gov and related GovCon tools, translating signals into actionable capture and outreach activities. Lead Nurturing:
Manage long-cycle lead nurturing through consistent, value-driven engagement to advance prospects from awareness to active opportunity. Market Research:
Conduct targeted research on agencies, programs, and mission priorities to inform account targeting and outreach strategy. CRM Proficiency (HubSpot):
Maintain accurate CRM records in HubSpot, documenting activity, qualification details, and next steps to ensure pipeline visibility and team alignment. Soft Skills
Able to context switch as needed. Able to compartmentalize different campaigns with different goals. Able to communicate clearly and precisely. Misc
You must be based around or willing to commute to Lincoln, MA (some remote work is fine each week - we are pretty flexible). Ideally, you will come with some knowledge of the software world (even better if you know something about machine learning). We do a lot of exciting customer-facing work, so an eagerness for and enjoyment in communication is a must. Bonus -
Familiarity with Government Contracting: Demonstrate working knowledge of federal acquisition concepts, terminology, and buyer roles within the defense and intelligence community. About Jaxon
